Gabala, a majestic part of Azerbaijan, prepares to host the 9th edition of the International Music Festival.

The city will welcome all music lovers from July 29 to August 3 with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azertac reported.

The nationality of the Gabala festival, traditionally featuring both classical and folk music, is growing wider every year.

In its ninth year now, the festival will bring together prominent musicians, artistic groups, soloists and conductors from Azerbaijan, Austria, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Israel and other countries.

The festival will begin the official opening ceremony scheduled for July 30 at a grandiose scene installed in front of the Heydar Aliyev Congress Centre.

Works by great Azerbaijani and renown composers will sound on the Gabala scene.

Along with world-renowned musicians, young talents will perform on the Festival’s open scene, and in the chamber hall.

Gabala Music Festival traditionally takes place every year in summer in the city of Gabala since 2009. Musicians usually perform in the open air. 

The Gabala International Music Festival brought together famous musicians from different countries as USA, France, Israel, Mexico, Cuba, Poland, Russia, Italy, Spain in previous years.

Expansion of international cultural relations, introduction of our musical culture to the world community, mutual understanding between the peoples and strengthening of friendship and other features makes this festival of great importance.
