Well-known Georgian singer Anri Jokhadze with the song "I'm jocker" will represent Georgia at the "Eurovision-2012" international song contest in Baku. Winner of the National Tour was determined on the basis of televoting and expert jury decision.
Jokhadze won the national contest to identify the representative of the country in the studio of the Georgian public broadcaster on Feb. 19.
Nine artists and bands were struggling for the right to represent Georgia at Eurovision - Anri Jokhadze, Boris Bediya, Edvard Tatiani, Levan Jibladze (Leo Jee) and bands November, Vanilla Cage, Mirror Illusion, REMA and Industrial City. The concert was broadcast live on Georgian First Channel.
Sabina Babaeva, the representative of Azerbaijan at "Eurovision-2012", presented at Georgian national tour as special guest. She sang for the Georgian public in the end of the competitive program.
GPB has announced a competition on December 15, 2011, the acceptance of applications was over a month later, on January 15. Those wishing to take part in the competition must have been present in the GPB song specifically produced for the contest in Georgian or English.
13 applications were submitted. Production team for the final of the competition chose nine finalists.
