In 2013, the need criterion level, which is used in Azerbaijan for the calculation of size of the targeted social assistance, will be equaled to the living minimum, Chairman of the Parliament's Social Policy Committee Hadi Rajabli said yesterday during discussion of the draft state budgets for 2012 and three following years.

In 2012, it is planned to increase the monthly need criterion level from 75 manat to 84 manat. As the draft envisions, the figure is likely to increase up to 92 manat in 2013, 100 manat in 2014, and 106 manat in 2015.

Next year, the living minimum will be increased from 95 manat at the moment to 108 manat, including an increase from 102 manat to 116 manat for able-bodied population, from 72 manat to 84 manat for retired persons, and from 76 manat to 87 manat for children.
As forecasted, the living minimum will be increased up to 120.2 manat in 2013, 127.7 manat in 2014, and 135.1 manat in 2015.

In addition, the living minimum for able-bodied population will be increased up to 130 manat, 138 manat, and 146 manat in 2013, 2014, and 2015, respectively; for retired persons-up to 101 manat, 107 manat, and 114 manat; and for children-up to 99 manat, 106 manat, and 112 manat in 2013, 2014, and 2015, respectively. The minimum monthly wages will be increased from 85 manat in 2010 and 2011 to 93.5 manat in 2012. The figure is expected to increase up to 120.2 manat in 2013, 127.7 manat in 2014, and 140 manat in 2015. Under the draft, the minimum monthly public allowance will be 10 manat in 2012 and is expected to increase by 5 manat annually to reach 25 manat in 2015.
