A conference titled “Gas Infrastructure World Caspian 2011” has today kicked off here. The three-day conference focuses achieving energy security, the impact of global gas pricing, pipeline projects, Caspian gas production, the role of the gas transit countries, additional sources of gas supply, how the Caspian can tap into the booming Asian energy demand, alternative routes to market, the future of the Caspian gas market, the Caspian petrochemicals market, future prospects in the Caspian region and other issues.
Representatives of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), bp, OMV, RWE, GDF Suez companies, as well as, European Commission are attending the event.
The conference co-sponsored by RWE Supply & Trading, ING Commercial Banking, OMV Gas & Power, Public Gas Corporation (DEPA S.A.), GDF Suez and “Trans Adriatic Pipeline” (TAP) companies.
