Shahdeniz consortium has announced tender on reception of appeals for the offers on potential export pipelines projects, said the State Oil Company f Azerbaijan.

According to Company, SOCAR has applied to three main perspective pipeline projects groups for European Union, for transportation of Shahdeniz gas to Europe. These pipelines projects include IGI Poseidon, Trans-Adriatik and Nabucco pipelines.

According to appeal, the required information from pipelines projects companies were wished to submit to the consortium for evaluation of projects and selection of infrastructures. The offers must cover tariff issues, detailed information about wide aspects of the project. Appeal must be answered until September 1.

Note that, Shahdeniz project is huge project considered for transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe and Turkey. Gas supply to European markets is considered to increase via South Corridor within this project. This project is expected to produce 16 bcm of gas.

According to current plans, two new platforms connected with bridge will b used in the project. 26 wells will be drilled via two semi-submersible drilling plants, 500 km-length underwater pipeline will be constructed in the depth of 550 meters. Throughput capacity of South Caucasus Pipeline will be reached 16 bcm.

At the same time, the gas volumes extracted within the Shahdeniz project are planned to transport up to Georgia-Turkey border. Transportation of gas from Turkey to European markets will be realized via Turkish infrastructure and new pipeline infrastructure.
