One of the largest defense industry companies of Pakistan, GIDS (Global Industrial & Defense Solutions) and Azerbaijan will carry out a joint project, GIDS marketing officials told APA.
GIDS-engineered RPB-1 air-launched missiles currently used by the Pakistani air forces will be produced within the project. Pakistan and Azerbaijan are negotiating the technology transfer issues now.
The company officials said they were looking forward to joint production of other air, ground and navy systems with Azerbaijan. GIDS consortium established in 2007 united seven companies specialized in different fields.
