Though, the payments on income taxes were expected to increase as a result of reduction of rates on this type two years ago, but it was not observed, Head of Main Department of commercial legal Entities’ State Registration and Economic Analysis Organization under Azerbaijan Tax Ministry Zaur Fatizadeh said.
Remind that, maximum sum of income taxes from individual persons decreased from 35% to 30% in 2009.
According to him, the ministry investigates why the expected growth was not observed: "According to all economic objective laws, reduction of taxes might encourage the taxpayers to pay the taxes. But it was not observed".
He noted that, one of the reasons of not fulfillment of forecasts on income tax in 2010, is this: “People doesn’t pay tax, hide the incomes. They say that their workers are their familiars and work freely”. According to approximately assessments 30-40% of sum which to be involved to income tax are avoided.
