The Sangachal Power Plant generated over 135.8 million kilowatts/hours of electricity in January, which is 1.8 million kilowatts/hours more than the project figure, PU Azerenerji said in a statement.
In 2010, the power plant generated about 1.2 billion kilowatts/hours of electricity compared to the forecasted more than 1.16 billion kilowatts/hours.
Since the commissioning of the plant, it has produced about 2.7 billion kilowatts/hours of electricity as of Feb.1, 2011. The plant was commissioned in December 2008 and consists of 18 units. The station operates on oil, gas and diesel in passing processes.
