World Bank Vice-president for Europe and Central Asia Region Philippe Le Houérou is on a visit to Azerbaijan. Baku office of WB says that the purpose of visit is to meet the socio-economic development and hold discussions with officials of government, partners, business and civil society on the diversification of economical growth of the country and WB’s possible directions in the sphere of support of development of human capital.
Philippe Le Houérou is expected to meet with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev, official representatives of government and meet the fulfillment of projects of Pension and Social Protection and Modernization of Justice System. WB finances 20 projects costing $ 2 bn in the country.
