Armenia’s GDP declined 18.5 percent in January-July 2009, according to the national statistic service.
During this period GDP totalled 1.417 billion drams ($378 million).
Consumer prices rose 2.7 percent compared to the same period of 2008.
Prices on industrial goods declined 2 percent.
Industrial output worth 336.5 billion drams ($ 899.8 million) was produced, which is a 12-percent drop from last year.
The volume of Armenia’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $2.013 million in January-July 2009 as compared with the same period of 2008.
According to the state budget, GDP growth in Armenia in 2009 is estimated at 9.2 percent ($1 equals to 373.95 Armenian drams).
