The average cost of mobile services in Azerbaijan does not exceed the average indicator on other CIS countries.
The due announcement was made by Azerbaijan's Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov.
"New services are provided by mobile operators in Azerbaijan, therefore, it is difficult to compare prices.
Tariffs on mobile services are freely regulated in Azerbaijan, on basis of market realities.
"We can state with pride that the level of mobile phones penetration in Azerbaijan has topped 50%. This indicator will further rise by 30-35% each year", Abbasov noted.
He did not exclude possible reduction of tariffs on mobile services with network expansion.
