Iltimas Mamedov, Azerbaijan's deputy minister of communications and information technologies, will pay a visit to Japan capital city Tokyo.

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies that the visit aims at participation in the 5th joint session of the State Commission for economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan and Committee for Azerbaijan-Japan economic cooperation to be held on February 25-26 of 2008.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani delegation will be led by Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov. The co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission is a vice president of the Itochu Japanese National Oil Corporation Akita Yakota.

It should be reminded that the fourth session of the intergovernmental economic commission Azerbaijan-Japan was held in Baku in 2007. The governmental delegation of Japan visited Azerbaijan for participation in the session.
