Volume of oil exportation from Azerbaijan made up 2,802,000 tons in January 2008, which is a 23.9% rise as compared to January of 2007.
The Azerbaijan International Operating Company exported 2,179,000 tons of oil in January which is a 23.4% rise as compared to 2007.
In the said period the Baku-Supsa pipeline was not transporting oil.
In 2006 the pipeline pumped 5,165,000 tons of oil.
Oil transportation by the railroad to the Georgian port of Batumi was also not carried out. Export by this route made up 271,000 tons in January of 2007.
The Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline was also idle. Export by that route made up 314,000 tons in January of 2007.
It should be noted that the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline exported 2,719,000 tons of oil through the reported period which is a 68.8% rise as compared to January of 2007.
It should be reminded that Azerbaijan exported 30.579,000 tons of oil in 2007, which is a 38.2% rise as compared to 2006.
