Azerbaijan's foreign trade with 109 nations bought out a trade deficit worth $217,067,900 during the first quarter.

The exports fell 11.44%, year-on-year, to $919,062,200 and imports jumped 25.41% $1,136,130,100.

The State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that the temporary exports and imports totaled to $33,557,100 and 68,883,400 respectively.

Azerbaijan most exported oil and oil products, grease and vegetable oil, aluminum, ferrous metals, fruits, alcoholic beverages and tobacco. The imports mainly included electronic equipment and devices, medical and industrial appliances, vehicles and foodstuffs.

The portion of the state sector in the exports was 77.43%, the private sector 21.66% and individuals 0.91%. As to imports, the shares were 28.04%, 66.30%, 5.66% respectively.
