Azerbaijan exported a total of 7.42 million tons of oil during the first quarter, 76.25% higher than the same period last year.
Azerbaijan International Operating Company sent abroad 7.236 million tons of oil, up 3.2 million tons from a year earlier. The AIOC told APA-Economics that no oil was pumped via Baku-Supsa pipeline during this period. 749,125 tons of oil were delivered to Georgia's Batumi Port by railway. Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline transported 880,218 tons of oil during January and March, with a year-on-year decline of 277,452 tons. Besides, 5.79 million tons of Azeri oil were exported via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and 53,698 tons of condensate were sent abroad from Shah Deniz field. Azerbaijan exported a total of 22.127m tons of oil during 2006, of which 20.955 tons were pumped by the AIOC.
