Georgia is going to increase consumption gas prices on the domestic market after the initial discussion on April 16.
Georgian National Fuel and Energy Commission told APA-Economics that the prices rise is needed because of high-priced gas imports. The commission has not preset any prices. Russia currently charges Georgia $235 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas compared to $100 last year and the country pays $62.5 per 1,000 cubic meters of Azeri gas (Shah Deniz). The Government lend additional loan worth 125mln lari to five companies to keep prices unchanged in winter.
