Criminal case has been launched on collapse of the upper part of an under-construction 21-storey building at the intersection of Nizami and Fikret Amirov streets (behind British embassy) in Baku.

Sabail Deputy Prosecutor Elchin Sultanov told the APA that criminal case has been launched on the fact on Article 162.1 (inflicting bodily harm as a result of negligence of safety rules) of the Criminal Code.

Deputy Prosecutor said no one has been detained on the case and added that expert advice will show who is guilty.

He noted that as a result of the accident happened during concrete laying when wooden constructions could not resist and collapsed, seven were injured. Two of them are being cured at the hospital.

The 21-storey building is being constructed by Libra Company.
