Despite inflation pressures, the Azerbaijani Government achieved to keep inflation rate in 8.3% in 2006, Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh said when presenting the government's annual report to the Parliament.

Prime Minister said anti-inflation measures were productive last year. Nominal incomes of population increased by 23.4% and the nominal incomes increased from 81 manats to 91 manats per capita. The rise in nominal incomes prevented inflation for 2.8 times. The average monthly salary increased by 20% and became 151 manats in 2006, APA-Economics reports.
