The examination in the finance departments of 12 regions, 2 higher state institutions, 2 diplomatic corps and a number of other organizations exposed that they wasted finances of AZN 3.9m allocated from the state budget.

AZN 810,000 was deducted to repay the national budget and the rest will be deducted during the year.

Requested by law enforcement bodies, Health Ministry and Economic development Ministry carried out examination in Azerkimya state-owned chemicals maker and some 30 other enterprises.

The inspection unveiled financial frauds and waste of AZN 75m.
During this period, 217 ranking officials were fined AZN 15,100 for waste of the budget funds.

The Finance Ministry is now working on the examination schedule for 2007, APA reports.
