State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents kept effective bans imposed on some wineries.
The Agency Director General, Ramiz Hasanov, told the APA that the amount of wines and grape output didn't agree as some wineries use extracts and mixed substances harmful to health. "That's why some wineries were banned from producing wines," he said. He added four wineries are running in Azerbaijan-Baku Champagne Open Joint Stock Company, Baku Sherab-2, Tovuz-Baltiya and Ganja-Sherab-2.
