The incomes and expenditures of the State Budget of Azerbaijan equaled AZN 2 683.6m and AZN 2 420.9m respectively.
The budget surplus stood at AZN 262.7m (2.1% of the GDP) during the period of January-September. The incomes and expenditures of the State Budget increased by 84.7% and 62.8%, year-over-year, in January-September, APA reports. 67% of the Budget incomes were delivered by Taxes Ministry and 14.3% by State Customs Committee. These two bodies executed the forecast by 100.7% and 102% respectively. Of the incomes, AZN 554m (20.6%) came from VAT, AZN 422m (15.7%) from profit tax, AZN 220.4m (8.2%) from income deductions, AZN 127.6m (4.8%) from excise tax, and AZN 196.6 mn (7.3%) from foreign business activities. Of the expenditures, AZN 230m (9.5%) was used for social protection and security, AZN 320.1 m (13.2%) for education, AZN 839.6 m (34.7%) for investment in the economy. Salaries, pensions and allowances constituted AZN 733.8m (30.3%) in the structure of Budget expenditures.
