As of November 1, economically active population of Azerbaijan reached 3 960 800 in number, of which 33.4% are hirelings.
1/5 of the hired ones work for productive industry in big and medium-sized enterprises. As APA reports, 54 417 people received unemployment status, of whom 51.3% are women. 32.2% of those in unemployment status have higher education, 32.9% have special technical education, 15.9% have special training education and 19% have compulsory and secondary school education.
Four unemployed people stand for every vacancy. Average unemployment benefit is AZN 56.3 which makes 37.9% of the average monthly salary of the hired workers in October.
