Gross domestic product – the output of goods and services produced by labor and property in Azerbaijan- grew by 34% year on year, in the first nine months of 2006, to AZN 12.7302bn, State Statistical Committee told.
Per capita GDP rose 32.6% to AZN 1 524.3 or $1 693.3, APA reports. 71.4% of the GDP was produced in industry production and 21.7% in service sector. Net tax on imports and products made up 6.9%. During this period the added value of AZN 7.4518bn (58.5% of GDP) was in industry, AZN 679.6m (5.3%) in agriculture, hunting and foresting, AZN 953.4 m(7.6%) in construction, AZN 628.9 m (4.9%) in transportation, AZN 292.6m (2.3%) in communications, AZN 703.7 m (5.5%) in wholesale, retail, repair services for cars, household things, AZN 87.9m (0.7%) in hotel and restaurant, AZN 1 054.2 m (8.3%) in social services.
