CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna) kept in force the ban on fishing and export of black caviar and Caspian sturgeon from Azerbaijan in the meeting of the standing secretariat.

The convention also considered the ban for other Caspian states - Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The results were the same, Ecology and Natural Recourses ministry told the APA.

CITES made prohibition for black caviar and Caspian sturgeon export concerning four Caspian States in the January this year. Only Iran was allowed to export 45 tones of caviar per a year.
