Gold deposit exploration in Ordubad by Azerbaijan International Extractive Industry Operating Company was unproductive.
Company President Rza Vaziri said they will make the final attempt for exploration and the deposits will be handed over to the Government if the attempt is unsuccessful. "We have to tunnel as the deposits are vessel-like in Ordubad. It takes much time." The contract includes 6 deposits such as Shekerdere, Piyzabashi, Misdagh, Aghyurd, Shelale and Diakhchay including old Yashillig, Goyhundur, Kalaki and Kotem resources. Azerbaijani Government (51%) and British Anglo Asian Mining PLC singed PSA of the Company which concluded a 30-year agreement with the Government on extraction of mineral resources. The Company will extract mineral resources in 6 zones: Nakhchivan, Ganja, gadabay and 3 occupied territories (Kalbajar-Zod, Aghdara Gizilbulag and Zengilan Vejneli), APA informs.
