Georgia started amortizing electricity debts to Azerbaijan speedily, Azerenergy chief engineer, Saleh Mammadov, said.
He said that Georgia started to pay the debt after the Azerbaijani-Georgian intergovernmental commission met on August 16-18. "The debt has been reduced by 10mn kw/h. Georgia pays the debt by electrical energy daily and Azerbaijani districts-Gazakh, Aghstafa is supplied with Georgian energy now." Georgia owed Azerbaijan 32mn kw/h because of electrical energy provided or Georgia in 1990s. The debt was 17 mn kw/h as of early August, APA reports.
