Azerbaijan-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission will meet in Batumi, Georgia on 16-17 August this year.

The discussions will focus on Georgia's paying its debt for electricity to Azerbaijan.
Azernergy OJSC told the APA Georgia purchased 32 million kilowatt/hours of energy from Azerbaijan in the 90s of last century and 4.138 million kilowatt/hours of energy during the energy crisis in January this year. Georgia has paid only for 12 million kilowatt/hours.

Sources in the government told the APA the meeting of the intergovernmental commission will focus on Georgia's paying its debt working out at $16 million, cooperation in transport as well as the Baku-Tbilisi-Akhalkalak-Kars railway line project and several other issues.
