New manager of World Bank Office in Azerbaijan, Gregory Jedzejczak took his post on Thursday.

The office told APA that Gregory Jedzejczak worked at Warsaw State University in 1970-80s, and then he became a member of Polish Government and held the post of vice-minister of privatization in 1990s.

He has worked for the World Bank since 1994 and was the World Bank manager in Ukraine in 1999-2002.

Former manager of World Bank office in Azerbaijan Ahmad Jarani left Azerbaijan in summer, 2005.

Azerbaijan obtained over $1bn through WB since 1992.
