Violations of environmental safety were found in Baku wood processing and furniture workshops in the course of the raids conducted by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

As Trend informs, 70 sacks containing 50 kg of illegally produced coal and 10 m2 of hazelnut wood were found in a passenger car detained in Binagadi district of Baku on June 9 2005. A criminal case has been started on the issue and the owner of the car has been fined on 19349320 AZM for inflicted damage.

More violations were found during the raids in the Baku suburbs; all guilty were punished.

Illegally obtained wood materials were found in the possession of both enterprises and private persons as a result of search operations carried out by the Ministry.
