As to Deputy Minister Musa Panahov, today Azerbaijani ships predominate in the Caspian Sea and great part of the loads are transported by the Caspian Sea Navigation Ships, APA reports.

"In this sphere our potential is growing fast and new ships are brought to our country."

Saying that Azerbaijan's capability on oil transportation would grow after the BTC pipeline comes on line, Deputy Minister noted that, Azerbaijan enjoys various and great potential in transportation of Kazakhstan oil products through the country territory.

The Deputy also took a stance on the control over truck traffic in Azerbaijani territory and noted that the scales were being set up for this purpose. So far the first analogical scales were set up in Khachmaz.

"In the near future such scales will be set up in all the directions because the truck traffic causes road destruction."
