As for January 1, 2006, foreign currency reserves of Azerbaijan increased by 29.8% to $394 million.
Foreign debt has totaled $1 bln 650 mln. Thus, foreign debt to GDP ratio made up 12.8% in 2006, down from 18.6% in 2004, AzerTAg reports. Foreign currency assets exceed Azerbaijan's external liabilities by 45% or $744 million.
