Total volume of insurance premiums collected by the Bashak Inam Azerbaijan-Turkey Insurance Company during 2005 totaled AZM 10.651 billion and it exceeds the previous year figure by 1.6%.

As APA reports refering to the head office of the Company situated in Baku, last year AZM 3.1 billion of premiums collected on voluntary insurance kinds fell to share of fire insurance, AZM 3.8 billion of auto-KASKO and AZM 987.4 million of electronics insurance.

At the same time, receipts on liability to the third person insurance amounted to AZM 127.9 million, on air transport insurance to AZM 72.4 million, on crop insurance to AZM 26 million, on freight insurance to AZM 350.6 million, on personal accident insurance to AZM 253.46 million, and on medical insurance to AZM 1 billion.

Volume of insurance premiums on obligatory vehicle insurance totaled AZM 82.8 million and exceeded AZM 15.6 million on obligatory property insurance in the reporting year.

The Bashak Inam Company realized more than AZM 5 billion of insurance payments during the period under review and it is 5.3% less than the same indicator of the previous year. In general, 47.2% of premiums collected in 2005 were spent to funding of insurance payments on registered cases.

So, volume of payments on auto-KASKO insurance kind formed AZM 3.4 billion, on medical insurance AZM 708.9 million, on fire insurance AZM 346.5 million, and on personal accident insurance AZM 120.2 million. Besides, AZM 294.5 thousand of payments were made on theft insurance, AZM 11.2 million on travel insurance, and AZM 84.6 million on obligatory vehicle insurance.
