The Azerbaijani government expects in 2005 the sustainable growth of the GDP indicator. By the results of the current year the indicator per capita may be $1 275, Trend was told at the Cabinet of Ministers.
Earlier this indicator’s forecast for a year was 5799,6 thousand manats ($1177,6). The GDP per capita for 5 months 2005 was 2407 thousand manats ($495,4) by the growth of 14,9%, as compared to the January-May 2004.
The GDP indicator per capita in 2024 will reach $6000.
In 2004 Azerbaijan overstepped for the first time the $1000-th GDP per capita indicator, which was $1041 on the results of the last year.
