The 30th annual sitting of Islamic Development Bank took place in Putrajaya city of Malaysia. Azerbaijani delegation was led by head of Ministry of Economic Development Body Samir Valiyev.
According to the information given to APA from the press service of the Ministry, heads of delegations of member states including Samir Valiyev made speech in IDB Directors Council.
He gave information about economic development of Azerbaijan, existing investment environment in our country, adopted development programmes, as well as current situation of cooperation between Azerbaijan and IDB.
A number of organizational issues as well as president of IDB Ahmad Mohammed Ali being elected to the same position for the next 5 years period, and Nigeria’s admission to the Bank found their solution in the meeting. In the end of the meeting the Directors Council adopted decision on holding IDB 35th annual meeting due to 2010 in Baku, taking into consideration the invitation of government of Azerbaijan. Bilateral meeting was conducted between A.M.Ali and Azerbaijani delegation.
The issues on IDV’s assistance to holding investment conference in Azerbaijan and opening the bank office in Azerbaijan were said to be solved soon in the meeting.
