In 2005 Azerigas Joint-Stock Company (JSC) plans to spend 70bn manats (over $14.2m) on the improvement of the gas supply infrastructure in Azerbaijan, Nazim Samadzada, and the Vice President of Azerigas JSC, told journalists on Monday.
According to Samadzada, the funds will be spend on upgrade of distributing network, the overhaul of internal gas pipelines, organization of events targeting reducing the technical losses.
The funds will be directed at the development of gas infrastructure made up 55bn manats ($11.1m).
Samadzada noted that under the state program on socio-economic development of regions in Azerbaijan by 2008 four district centers will be supplied with natural gas.
