Some 1.1 mln tons of cargo was transported via sea in Azerbaijan in January 2013.
According to the State Statistical Committee, 60.8% of this amount was oil, while 39.2% was dry cargo and all transportations were realized on foreign links.
Some 1.2 mln tons of shipping and unshipping works were conducted during the accounting period, up 1.6% from previous year. International transit cargos rose 3.5%.
