The total amount of Azerbaijan Railways Company's revenues amounted to 166.1 million manat in January-September this year, head of the company Arif Asgarov's article, published in the newspaper The Republic said today.

According to the article, around 154.8 million manat of the total income fell to shipping with the remainder of 11.3 million manat going to passenger transport.

As of the first nine months of this year, the company's expenditure totalled 158.8 million manat with a profit of 7.3 million manat.

Around 51 million manat of the total volume of expenditure was directed to pay off salaries, 10.5 million manat - the social security fund, 3.3 million manat - in the form of various taxes to the state budget, 27.6 million manat - to pay for the used electricity, fuel and water and 31.6 million manat were spent to purchase various materials.

The company transported 17.1 million tons in January-September, of which 3.6 million tons fell to the internal transport, export goods - 2.9 million manat, import - 4.8 million manat and transit cargo - 5.7 million manat.

The volume of passenger transportation in January-September amounted to two million people.
