During the first half of this year, 27 new issuers signed contracts with the National Depository Center (NDC) under the State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan to provide services for keeping the register and the depositary, the NDC said on Wednesday.

According to the information, this data was presented at the general extraordinary shareholders' meeting, where the results of the first half of 2012 were discussed.

"During the reporting period, contracts with 27 new issuers were signed, from which 671 million manat was attracted for deposit. This contributed to bringing the center's total assets to 7.1 billion manat," the report said.

Chairman of the State Committee for Securities Rufat Aslanli assessed the results of the NDC as satisfactory. He gave advice on future plans.
