In the first half of 2012 Azerbaijan reduces export of goods to Iran by 35.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

Azerbaijan's export transactions with Iran amounted to $60.359 million in January-June 2012 compared to $93.338 million during the same period in 2011, the State Customs Committee (SCC) said.

In the first half of this year, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran amounted to $149.697 million.

The volume of imports from Iran to Azerbaijan increased by 9.6 percent during the reporting period. Azerbaijan imported goods worth $81.496 million from Iran during January-June 2012 compared to $89.338 million during the same period in 2011.

The list of major foreign trade partners of Azerbaijan includes Italy, Israel, and Indonesia in the export of Azerbaijani goods, and among the leading importers are Turkey, Russia and Germany.

Total imports in Azerbaijan for the first six months amounted to $4.459.649 million, while exports amounted to $12.711.507 million.
