President of Azerbaijan`s State Oil Company (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has today met a Spanish delegation lead by State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Gonzalo de Benito.
Abdullayev highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements in energy sector, as well as SOCAR`s domestic and external projects. The Spanish State Secretary hailed SOCAR`s oil and gas operations in Spain.
De Benito praised business environment in Azerbaijan, highlighting the activity of Spanish companies in the country. The State Secretary expressed his government`s interest in ensuring Spanish companies`s involvement in SOCAR`s projects. Abdullayev said Azerbaijan was ready for cooperation, adding proposals by Spanish companies would be considered.
