Azerbaijan`s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ali Abbasov has met President of the Romanian SIVECO company Irina Socol.

Abbasov highlighted the projects implemented in the country`s ICT sphere and achievements. The Minister said the relations with Romania in ICT sphere have been expanded in recent years.

The Minister praised the project “Electronic lessons”, at the same time considered expedient to implement the second phase of the project.

The ICT Minister hailed SIVECO`s cooperation with local companies. He added further expansion of cooperation would be effective in joint implementation of future projects.
Mrs. Socol spoke about the company and its activity in Azerbaijan. She said that the SIVECO was the leading software company in the Central Eastern Europe.

Noting their software products are used by a number of countries, the SIVECO President said they have successfully completed the first phase of the project “Electronic lessons” in Azerbaijan’s 50 secondary schools with the company Ultra.

She noted the second phase of the program will cover more schools. Socol added that they had already implemented the similar project in Romania: “The project has been implemented in Romania and we have received positive results. 80 percent of lessons in 5-12 classes have been made electronic. We possess great experience in this sphere.”
