In May, prices of consumer goods and services dropped 0.9% compared to previous month. Moreover, prices of foodstuffs cheapened 1.9%, service tariffs rose 0.2%, non-food prices remained unchanged at 0.1%.

As compared to January-May 2011, prices of consumer goods and services increased by 2.5%, foodstuffs – 3.1%, nonfood – 1.3%, service tariffs – 1.9%.

Remind that, annual inflation in the country made 2.7% in January-April, 2012.

Note that, according of prognoses of Azerbaijani government, this year, the inflation will be 6%, in 2013 – 5%, in 2014 – 5.3%, in 2015 – 4.8%.
