The ‘Baku Telephone Communication’ Production Unit has conducted reconstruction work in many ATSs in order to modernize the Baku Communication Network and provide subscribers with high quality telephone and multimedia services.
Within these activities the ATSs were equipped with new NGN (New Generation Network) technologies. One of the ATSs that underwent the modernization is ATS-579 located in Shikhlinski street, Chief engineer of the Nizami Telecommunication Hub, Yasin Farzaliyev. According to him, the new station has the numbering capacity of 4,192 numbers and ADLS port capacity of 2,016 ports.
The station is equipped with modern equipment produced by ‘Huawei’ company. ‘Now ATS-579 is rendering HGN technology based high quality communication and multimedia services to subscribers,’ Y.Farzaliyev added. Let’s note that with the NGN technology users can enjoy a wide spectrum of new high quality services, including IP-TV, video-telephone, fast broadband internet access and 21 more services.
