The National Entrepreneurship Support Fund plans to issue preferential loans worth more than 200 million manat in 2012, Director Shirzad Abdullayev told media today.
The fund issued 161 loans worth 12.5 million manat in January 2012. They are available through the return of earlier given loans.
He said plans include returning loans worth 110 million manat in 2012. "These are preliminary forecasts," he said. "But it is expected that this figure will be higher than our projections."
The fund transferred 138 million manat to finance 1,643 investment projects last year. About 25 percent of the loans were financed by funds allocated from the state budget, while 75 percent were financed by returning given loans. The implementation of these investment projects helped to create up to 6,500 new jobs.
The fund gave preferential loans worth 5.9 million manat to 162 displaced people in 2011. About 33 manufacturing, processing and infrastructure enterprises started working in 2012. About 96 companies are planned to be commissioned in 2012.
