Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petkim, Azerbaijani state oil company-owned Turkish petrochemical holding, Vagif Aliyev has said Azerbaijan was not going to increase the price of gas supplied to Turkey.

Speaking to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Aliyev said the price of the Azerbaijani gas sold to Turkey is lower than for other countries. He said a gas deal signed between the two countries last year gave a big advantage to Turkey. “BOTAS is expected to earn 1.7 billion dollars per year under the deal,” Aliyev added.
