President of Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev, said it was scheduled to compete the construction of Transanatolian gas pipeline by 2017. “We need to plan our work the way that we could complete the construction of the pipeline by 2017 that is the start of gas extraction within the Shah-Deniz-2 framework.”
“The capacity of the pipe at the initial stage is to make 16bn cubic meters of gas. There is a possibility of raising the pumping volumes in the future,” Abdullayev added.
