Azerbaijani judoka earns bronze at European Championship

The Europeans Youth Judo Championship kicked off in Belgian city Lommel. In the first day, Azerbaijani judoka Oruj Valizade, 55 kg, won Tom Shmit (Luxemburg), Alexander Azarov (Belarus), Francisco Garrigos (Spain), then lost to Garik Arutunyan (Armenia).

In the duel for the bronze, Valizade triumphed over Ivan Zverev (Russia) and took the third place. Another fighter Mehman Sadigov also lost to the very same Russian judoka. Meanwhile, Ali Rzayev and Vugar Shirinli (both weighting 60 kg) lost the bouts.
