Azerbaijani chess players successfully start off at Iranian tournament

Iran launched a chess tournament dedicated to Iman Khomeini. Azerbaijani chess players also attended the event.  Chess players from Ganja region of Azerbaijan are successfully moving up at the tournament.

Honored Azerbaijani chess trainer Asif Hasanov informed that five chess players including those from Ganja gained four points after the relevant rounds and they so far remain amongst leaders.  The tournament brings together 130 sportsmen. The price fund makes up $7200.
