"We must play fast football from first minutes"

“We have to draw conclusions on the last year`s match with Macedonia,” coach of the Azerbaijan national football team Bertie Vogts told a news conference on Tuesday. He noted the clash gave the impression as if it was the match between youngsters and professionals.

“We have to fill this gap in an August 10 match with Macedonia,” he said. Vogts pointed out a number of footballers are absent at the training camp. Vagif Javadov changed three clubs in a year so he needed some time to adapt.

“I will give a chance to Elvin Mammadov from the very first minutes to see his current form. Ufuk Budag can play in the second half. We are planning to play him in a left wing,” he added.
