Azerbaijani track and field athlete becomes European champion, breaks record

Czech city Ostrava is hosting the European women track and field championship among athletes below 23.

In 10000m running, Azerbaijani athlete Layesh Abdullayeva reached the finish first (32min 18.05sec) thus breaking a new European record in this age category. The final run involved 16 athletes including Turkish Maryam Erdogan, who couldn't pass the distance and German Kristina Krokert, disqualified during the run.
